Egypt grows more dates than any other country on earth, and Egyptian dates give importers something rare in this category: year-round availability backed by enormous production depth. From semi-dry Siwi to fresh Zaghloul and Samany and Medjool, Nile Prime covers the full commercial spectrum for wholesale, industrial and retail buyers. Harvest runs September to December, and controlled-atmosphere storage lets us supply consistent quality in every month.
Why Egyptian Dates?
Centuries-old palm groves in Siwa, the Nile Valley and the Delta thrive in Egypt’s desert heat, producing dates with dense sugars and good texture at competitive cost. Proximity to the Gulf, EU and Asian markets, plus Ramadan-season logistics experience, makes Egypt a dependable strategic origin.

Packing & Shipping
Dates are cleaned, sorted, graded and packed in 5–10 kg bulk cartons or consumer-ready retail packs, then shipped in 40 ft reefer containers to protect texture and prevent fermentation in transit. We load from Alexandria, Damietta, Sokhna and Port Said and quote under Incoterms 2020 — FOB, CFR/CIF or DAP/DPU. Fresh Zaghloul and Samany move on tight cold-chain schedules during their short season.

FAQ
What is the minimum order for dates?
One full 40 ft reefer container. Mixed loads across date varieties are straightforward because they share a storage regime, and samples can be sent ahead of a first order.
Which variety should I buy?
Siwi for volume, processing and price; Medjool for retail and gifting where size and appearance carry the sale; Zaghloul and Samany where the market wants fresh dates and can take them inside their short window.
Can I buy dates outside the harvest window?
Yes, from stored crop, which is how the category runs for most of the year. Ask for the crop year on the contract rather than assuming it, because new crop and stored crop are different products at different prices.
What should I specify beyond variety?
Size grade, moisture, whole or pitted, and defect tolerance. Moisture is the figure that decides texture and storage life, and it is the one most often left out of an enquiry.
When should I contract for Ramadan?
In the autumn with the new crop. The grades that sell for gifting are allocated first, and retail or private-label artwork has its own lead time on top of the fruit.
Do you supply retail and private label packs?
Yes, alongside bulk cartons. Pack format, artwork and labelling are built to the destination market’s rules.
