Egypt owns one of the most valuable slots in the global grape calendar: the early window. Egyptian grapes reach EU shelves ahead of Spain, Italy and Greece, with crunchy berries, high sugars and retail-ready punnet packing. Nile Prime supplies Early Sweet, Flame, Thompson and Crimson table grapes from trellised, GLOBALG.A.P-certified vineyards built specifically for export programmes.
Why Egyptian Grapes?
Hot, dry growing conditions and precise drip irrigation produce firm, well-coloured berries with good Brix weeks before Mediterranean competitors harvest. Competitive labour and land costs keep pricing sharp, while short sailings to Europe and the Gulf let importers plan tight, reliable early-season promotions.

Packing & Shipping
Bunches are field-packed or shed-packed into punnets within 4.5–5 kg master cartons, with sulphur dioxide pads and liners applied to buyer specification. Rapid forced-air pre-cooling and a monitored cold chain in 40 ft reefer containers keep stems green and berries firm to destination. Departures from Alexandria, Damietta, Sokhna and Port Said under Incoterms 2020 — FOB, CFR/CIF or DAP/DPU.

FAQ
What is the minimum order for table grapes?
One full 40 ft reefer container. Samples can be sent at the start of the window, and mixed loads with other summer fruit are possible in the overlapping weeks.
Which variety fits the early window?
Early Sweet and Flame open the season, Thompson follows, and Crimson closes it. Tell us the arrival weeks you need and we will say which variety will be picking then.
Can you pack to our retail punnet specification?
Yes. Punnet size, master carton, liner and sulphur dioxide pad specification are all set to your requirement, with private label artwork available.
What most often goes wrong on a grape shipment?
A cold chain break during loading or inland transport, which shows up as soft berries and browning stems rather than as an obvious fault. Grapes are less forgiving of a warm hour on a loading bay than most fruit we ship.
Why are sulphur dioxide pads used, and can they be left out?
They suppress decay over the voyage, which is what makes a sea programme viable at all on this crop. They can be adjusted or omitted where a market requires it, but the trade-off in shelf life has to be accepted in the specification.
