Summer beverage, foodservice and retail demand for watermelon is enormous — and Egyptian watermelons let importers cover it with heavy, high-sugar fruit at bulk economics. From May to August, Nile Prime ships Crimson Sweet type watermelons with dense red flesh, crisp texture and the tough rind needed for sea transport. Egyptian watermelons are a straightforward, high-turnover line for wholesale markets across Europe and the Gulf.
Why Egyptian Watermelons?
Vast open-field acreage, intense summer sun and Nile-irrigated sandy soils give Egypt some of the lowest production costs of any watermelon origin, without compromising brix. Sailings of just a few days to the EU and Gulf keep this heavy commodity’s freight bill — the biggest cost driver in the category — firmly under control.

Packing & Shipping
Melons are field-graded by weight and external quality, then loaded into cushioned bulk bins or cartons according to your market’s handling preference. Cargo moves by sea in 40′ reefer containers at watermelon-appropriate set points to preserve crunch and colour. We load at Alexandria, Damietta, Sokhna and Port Said and sell under Incoterms 2020 — FOB, CFR/CIF or DAP/DPU.
FAQ
What is the minimum order for watermelons?
One full 40′ reefer container. Mixed summer loads with cantaloupes or grapes are possible where set points allow, and reference samples or first-container trials can be arranged.
