Hot water treatment is a quarantine measure, not a quality step, and confusing the two is expensive. A 46.1 degree immersion held for 65 to 110 minutes is a fruit fly disinfestation schedule demanded by a small number of importing countries. A 50 to 55 degree dip held for five minutes is a fungicidal treatment against anthracnose that has nothing to do with market access. Egyptian mango going to the Gulf, the European Union or Russia normally needs neither. Fruit going to markets that treat Bactrocera zonata and Ceratitis capitata as actionable pests needs one of them, applied at an approved facility and written on the phytosanitary certificate.

The schedules, and why fruit weight sets the clock
Heat has to reach the seed, not the skin. A larger fruit takes longer to bring its core to lethal temperature, so quarantine schedules are written by weight band rather than by variety. The widely referenced immersion schedules published in the USDA APHIS treatment manual run as follows.

Why cold treatment is not an option for mango
Citrus and grapes clear fruit fly requirements by sitting at 1 to 3 degrees for two or three weeks in transit. Mango cannot. Keitt and Kent take chilling injury below roughly 10 degrees, showing as grey lenticel spotting, uneven ripening and dull skin, so the cold schedule that solves the problem for an orange destroys a mango. That is the practical reason heat treatment exists for this crop at all.
What treatment costs the fruit
Treated mango behaves differently from untreated mango and the buyer should plan for it. Expect ripening to run slightly faster after treatment, shelf life to shorten by two to four days against an untreated equivalent, and a higher rate of lenticel darkening if fruit went into the tank with sap still on the skin. De-sapping before immersion is not optional. Fruit must also be hydrocooled after the hold rather than left to cool in air, and it should be re-graded after drying, because damage from a heat step shows up hours later rather than immediately. One point in favour of the method: hot water treatment introduces no chemical residue. The treatment itself is water and heat, which is a genuine advantage when the destination market is also testing for residues.
Check market access before you book a tank
A treatment schedule only counts if Egypt has an agreed pathway into the destination for mango and the treating facility is registered under it. Requirements change, and a schedule accepted in one season can be revised in the next.
